A Life-Long Passion for Leather and Craft
LANDA was founded in 2018 by Silvana Landa McAdam, whose heritage blends the cultural richness of Argentina with the artisanal traditions of Italy. Born into a family of makers, Silvana grew up watching her Italian grandfather craft leather in his cobbler’s workshop—an immigrant who rebuilt his life in Argentina and mastered the trade with intuition, resilience, and dedication. Her grandmother, a skilled tailor, reinforced the values of precision, discipline, and self-made craftsmanship that would later define the essence of LANDA.
Today, LANDA stands proudly as an Irish brand rooted in Silvana’s lifelong connection to leatherwork and her commitment to thoughtful, functional, modern design. Her vision unites Irish creativity with Italian manufacturing excellence, producing handbags crafted in Italy using exceptional materials and meticulous techniques.

Following family Foosteps
LANDA was founded in 2018 by Italian/Argentine Silvana Landa following on her Italian grandfather’s footsteps.

MAINTAINING STANDARDS
LANDA handbags are consciously made, using the highest quality raw materials, and finished to perfection. The designs are beautiful, contemporary and super functional.

A DEDICATED GRANDFATHER
Silvana Landa McAdam grew up surrounded by the sights, scents, and sounds of craftsmanship. She remembers her Italian grandfather’s strong, weathered hands shaping tanned hides, the earthy aroma of the workshop, and the rhythmic hum of sewing machines blending with the quiet concentration of his hand-stitching. Sometimes he invited her to help with the finishing touches—brushing edges, painting borders, learning to appreciate the discipline and beauty of meticulous work.
Years later, as a busy professional and mother of two living a fast-paced, modern life, Silvana found herself constantly on the move—navigating airports, meetings, school runs, workouts, and social commitments. She often juggled several bags at once and longed for something refined yet practical, elegant yet spacious, crafted with the same care she had witnessed in her childhood.
The combination of her lifestyle needs and the memory of her grandfather’s devotion to leatherwork revealed both a personal gap and a market opportunity. What began as a search for a functional, beautifully made everyday bag became the foundation for LANDA, an Irish brand dedicated to creating thoughtfully designed, Italian-crafted leather accessories that merge heritage, quality, and modern utility.
